Non-professorial academic staff
What is the non-professorial academic staff?
All academic co-workers at the School of Public Health make up the non-professorial academic staff. This includes employees in chairs, departmental teaching staff and employees in research projects.
Mid-level staff meetings
Meetings of the Mittelbau take place regularly during the semester on the Tuesdays before the faculty conferences. At these meetings, we discuss current topics that concern us (e.g. teaching, research or working conditions), report on the Faculty's committees and discuss the topics for the next faculty conference. All academic co-workers are invited to the Mittelbau meetings and are welcome to contribute topics. Only with the participation of as many colleagues as possible can the team of spokespersons represent the interests of the faculty conference.
Mid-level spokesperson team
The mid-level spokespersons are elected every two years as part of the faculty conference elections. They are members with voting rights and are responsible for inviting and organising the meetings of the Mittelbauskonferenz.

Representatives in the Faculty committees
Members of the Mittelbau are represented on all Faculty committees. There they represent the interests of the Mittelbau. The faculty conference (FaKo) is the only body in which only elected members can vote - these are the Mittelbau spokespersons. However, anyone interested can take part! For all other committees, a staff, people and a representative from the non-professorial academic staff are nominated to regularly participate and vote. The current composition can be found in the respective committees.
You are cordially invited to participate! If you are interested, please contact the spokesperson team. Vacant positions are always communicated via the Mittelbau mailing list.
