Health Communication

The "Health Communication" profile focuses on knowledge and research into the importance of communication and media for health and illness. After completing this profile, you will be able to develop effective communication strategies in various health contexts and apply them in a targeted manner.

The profile is interdisciplinary. This means that health promotion and health counselling are viewed from different scientific perspectives. These include approaches and theories of communication science, concepts of science and risk communication as well as counselling contexts of care and prevention.

In the profile, you can choose seminars and projects from three modules:

  1. Strategic health communication
  2. Health-related counselling
  3. Health-related science and risk communication

The aim is to give you a broad understanding of communication, media and counselling in different health contexts. This will enable you to open up a broad field of work. This includes areas of activity such as

  • Health education, prevention and information,

  • Health-related media reporting and social media content,
  • science communication,

You will learn
