Public Health (Promotion, DrPH)

Aims of the degree programme

The doctoral program of the Faculty of Public Health concludes with the doctorate/Phd studies to Doctor of Public Health (Dr.PH) or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D. in Public Health).

Within the framework of the doctoral program, you will be taught knowledge and skills to independently and systematically work on scientific problems from the working areas of the health sciences and the international scientific field of public health using appropriate methods and, on this basis, to complete the required doctoral work. At the same time, you will receive support in the courses at every stage of your (doctoral) thesis through discussion and writing impulses. Participation in the courses in the doctoral program is one of the requirements for opening the doctoral program.

For detailed information about the DrPH degree programme and the application procedure, please see the information brochure. All regulations and provisions important for the degree programme, the List of modules as well as general information for the degree programme can be found on the BIS pages.

The schedule of block courses can be found here.
