Students who are planning a stay abroad at our faculty can find more information here.

FAQs - Incoming students

The application procedure for Erasmus+ study stays always takes place at the home university. In order to realize a study stay at our faculty, an agreement between both universities is required. An overview of all agreements of our faculty can be found here.
If the application is successful, the home university will nominate the student for the Erasmus+ program. A further application is not necessary.

At our faculty there is only a limited offer of English language courses. We therefore require German language skills at level B1 and recommend level B2. Only in this way can we guarantee that students can participate in courses and that their stay abroad will be successful. There are exceptions to this rule for students of individual programs, especially in the area of English Studies and InterAmerican Studies. In case of doubt, please consult the responsible coordinators before applying.

Information on language acquisition at Bielefeld University can be found at here.
