Biostatistics and Medical Biometry are of vital importance for the life sciences and medical research. It covers a broad range of tasks with different areas of application, particularly in medicine and epidemiology.
The work of the interdisciplinary working group is mostly carried out in cooperation with external research institutions, clinics, doctors and other scientists. The statistical models we analyse are mainly used in the life sciences, but also in other fields. In this context, our research focuses on the following areas
We also offer extensive statistical consulting to support other research projects and are involved in teaching in the core curriculum of the Human Medicine degree programme.
