General Information: Panteion University is located in Athens - the capital of Greece represents the cultural and historical as well as the economic center of the country. More than three million people live in the greater Athens area, making Athens one of the ten largest cities in Europe. Founded in 1927, Panteion University, which enrolls about 18,000 students, is divided into four faculties and nine departments. The Department of Psychology is housed in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology. The Department of Psychology is in turn divided into a Department of Educational and Cognitive Psychology, a Department of Social Theory and Research, a Department of Social Psychology, and a Department of Clinical Psychology.
Study programs and specializations: In addition to the bachelor's degree, two different master's programs are offered; choices include "Social Psychology of conflicts" or psychology with specialization in positive psychology, identities and interpersonal relationships, and applied cognitive and developmental psychology.
Study schedule: The academic year is divided into two semesters of 13 weeks each. Examinations take place at the end of each semester, usually in February in the winter semester and in June in the summer semester.
Other Information: All enrolled students receive free meals in the Mensa. There is also the possibility of being connected to health care free of charge through the university. Information on this is summarized in a guide. For Erasmus students, a buddy program is offered in which ex-Erasmus students are assigned to the exchange students on site.
