General Information: The State University of Chieti-Pescara has ten faculties divided between two large campuses, Pescara and Chieti, as well as some facilities in the surrounding area. Pescara (about 120,000 inhabitants) is located directly on the coast, while Chieti (about 50,000 inhabitants) is 15 km from the Adriatic Sea. Psychology courses are held on the Chieti campus. Currently, about 23,000 students are enrolled at the university.
Study programs and specializations: A Laurea Triennale L-24 (comparable to a bachelor's degree) in "Psychological Sciences and Techniques" is offered. In the first two years, basic knowledge is taught, and in the third year, knowledge is deepened in various areas (e.g., evolutionary psychology, organizational psychology, clinical psychology). In the master's program in psychology, the three different specializations "Cognitive Neuroscience", "Developmental Psychology" and "Social, Industrial and Organizational Psychology" are offered.
Study schedule: The fall semester begins in mid-September and ends in December. The spring semester lasts from mid-February to June.
Other Information: Erasmus students have the opportunity to participate in Italian language courses. These start in mid-September and mid-February and take place on the Pescara campus. Before the start of the semester, there is a welcome and orientation program for foreign students, where information about university procedures is provided as well as social contacts are made.
