General information: Lille is the capital of the Hauts-de-France region and has about 230,000 inhabitants. The city is located in the north of France, close to the Belgian border. Lille is famous for its numerous museums, but also offers many other cultural activities. Every first weekend in September, the largest flea market in Europe, the Braderie of Lille, takes place, attracting about two million visitors. The Université Lille Nord de France is made up of various universities that were originally independent of each other, including the University of Lille I with its technical and scientific orientation, the University of Lille II with its specializations in economics, law, medicine and sports, and the University of Lille III with its humanities specializations. In total, the university has about 110,000 students and is one of the largest universities in France. Psychology is taught at the University of Lille III.
Study programs and specializations: The bachelor's program teaches basic principles in various fields of psychology (clinical psychology and psychopathology, developmental psychology, cognitive psychology, social psychology, educational psychology, health psychology, industrial psychology, ergonomics, neuropsychology). A Master's in Psychology and a Master's in Cognitive Science are offered. The Master in Psychology offers the possibility of specialization in industrial psychology, educational psychology, health, cognitive psychology, psychopathology, neuropsychology and psychology du handicap.
Study schedule: the "spring semester" starts in mid-January and lasts until mid-May. The "fall semester" usually starts in early September and ends in mid-January.
