Quality management

Bielefeld University's quality management system for teaching and learning follows the guiding principle of communication: developing and establishing a common understanding of quality and jointly developing degree programmes. The QM system is supported by the short lines of communication and the strong culture of communication at Bielefeld University. The core elements of the system are the established communication formats within and with the faculties, which were further developed as part of the programme to establish the quality management system for teaching and learning.

For the subject of Integrated Studies for Primary Education ("Sachunterricht"), a position of Quality Management Officer for Studies and Teaching has been established. The central task area of quality management is bundled in this position. The QM Officer is responsible for networking between the faculties involved in Integrated Studies for Primary Education ("Sachunterricht") as well as for organisational tasks, quality assurance, communication and coordination of advising and the implementation and further development of quality management.
