Zentrum Sachunterricht
About the centre
The centre was founded on 1 February 2025 as a scientific institution of Bielefeld University.
The long-standing cooperation between the natural and social sciences from the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, history and social sciences as well as the Bielefeld School of Education is visible in the jointly supported centre.
The centre aims to further strengthen the connection between students, teaching staff and researchers in Integrated Studies for Primary Education ("Sachunterricht").
The aim is to improve interdisciplinary cooperation in the areas of research and teaching, to develop an innovative research agenda for Integrated Studies for Primary Education ("Sachunterricht") and to promote and coordinate the further development of studies in the subject of Integrated Studies for Primary Education ("Sachunterricht") through the centre.
