2022

You are invited to join our Interdisciplinary Global Heath Dialogue Series, which will include online as well as in-person events held at Bielefeld University. The series is being relaunched in 2022 and will consist of approximately four events per year.

The dialogue series aims to provide insights into a diverse range of contemporary topics and challenges related to global health. In doing so, the series aims to strengthen understanding of and interest in the global health landscape and to foster interdisciplinary and interprofessional exchange amongst researchers and other actors about global health research, policy and practice.

Esteemed international and German global health experts will speak as part of the dialogue series.

The series is being organised by the Department of Population Medicine and Health Services Research (AG 2) in the School of Public Health, in coordination with other teams and faculties from across the university and with financial support provided by the Rectorate. For further information, please contact Ms. Bianka Detering.

The dialogue series will continue after the summer break and the schedule will be announced in Autumn 2022.

The Interdisciplinary Global Health Research Colloquium aims to promote and cultivate interdisciplinary research, thinking and exchange about issues broadly related to global health.

The colloquium will foster an informal, vibrant environment for researchers from different disciplines and all levels across Bielefeld University to share, learn about and discuss research on global health.

The colloquium will be relaunched in the Winter Semester 2022/23. Every two months, one researcher will present on a current research project or piece of work (e.g. proposal, article manuscript, etc.), which will be discussed together with participants. The colloquium is planned to generally be held in person, should prevailing Covid-19 conditions allow.

Doctoral, post-doctoral and senior researchers are invited to present on their current research projects and work in progress. Student researchers are also encouraged to attend.

Organisational coordination and support for the research colloquium is provided by the Department of Population Medicine and Health Services Research (AG 2) in the School of Public Health. For further information or if you would like to present at the colloquium (in English or German), please contact Ms. Bianka Detering.

The schedule for the Wintersemester 2022/23 will be announced in due course.
