Career opportunities, academisation and new roles in nursing (APN, CHN)
The nursing profession has changed in Germany in recent years, not least due to the increased demands in healthcare and the increase in people with chronic illnesses, multimorbidity and the need for care. Although Germany is still in the early stages of academisation in nursing compared to other countries, the number of Bachelor's and Master's degree courses has increased considerably in recent years. The growing number of people opting to study nursing shows how important it is to attract and retain these professionals for patient care in the long term.
