The EEG Laboratory

Electroencephalography:
Measurement of event-related potentials (ERP) and application of spectralanalytic EEG techniques

 

Preparation of the experiment: After positioning the electrode cap the conducting gel is filled into the EEG electrodes.
 

During the experiment: The participant (see below) listens to audio-visually presented stimuli in the sound reduced and footfall noise insulated EEG chamber, whilst the a/v-stimulus sequence is controlled and the EEG data is recorded by the experimenter.
 

The participant in the EEG chamber has to be completely relaxed and largely deprived of disturbing noise and ground vibrations.
