The University of Guadalajara is one of Mexico's leading public higher education institutions. It operates using a network model to link its 15 university centers, virtual university system, and general administration. With 116,000 students enrolled in more than 350 undergraduate and graduate programs, the UdeG represents an important educational and cultural community in western Mexico.
The specific agreement between our department and the University Center for Social Sciences and Humanities (CUCSH) facilitates the exchange of both professors and students and forms a large part of the internationalization strategy of our program.
In addition, since the winter semester 2018/19, the InterAmerican Studies program has been offering a binational option (double degree) with the Maestría en Literaturas Interamericanas at the University of Guadalajara, which is structured so that students spend the first two semesters in Bielefeld and the last two in Guadalajara.
