A03 - Co-construction of explanations between AI explainers and human explanation recipients with and without arousal

Project A03 is investigating the influence of emotions on explanation processes, in particular the question of how arousal influences the processing of explanations.
The aim of the project team is to develop an interactive system that enables users to understand AI explanations even when they are strongly or weakly aroused.
To this end, the system should make visible to both itself and the users how arousal influences the reception of recommendations and their explanations, and enable targeted interventions in this process.
