QM-System for studying and teaching at Bielefeld University

Currently, a university-wide, integrated QM system for studying and teaching is being implemented in form of a project by central and decentralised actors. By establishing this system, the following goals are being pursued in the area of teaching and learning:

• Ensuring and continuously improving the quality of studying and teaching
• Ensuring and continuously improving the quality of Bielefeld University's degree programmes
• Promoting Bielefeld University's responsibility and strengthening its ability to control the quality of studying and teaching
• Increased transparency and documentation of processes in the area of studying and teaching

QM in the Department of Psychology

Within the department's internal quality management, the aim is to systematise and illustrate processes, structures, contact persons and data bases relating to studying and teaching in psychology. In this context, the following priorities are currently being set:

• Systematic course evaluation with EvaSys
• Evaluation of our degree programmes
• Supporting the further development and system accreditation of our degree programmes
• Collaborating with the newly established Service Office for Studies and Teaching: The Dean of Studies, Academic Advisory Service, QM Coordination and the Examinations Office form a central and closely networked contact point for students and teachers of psychology under the roof of the Dean's Office.
• Compilation of compact information for (new) employees in the Department of Psychology
