Universidad Isabel I (Burgos, Spain)
General Information: Founded in 2008, Isabel I University is a private, state-approved university that maintains two campuses in Burgos and in Valladolid. Psychology is part of the Faculty of Health Sciences, which is located on the Burgos campus. The campus is located in the historic center of the city in close proximity to two World Heritage Sites: Burgos Cathedral and the Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James). A few kilometers away are the archaeological sites of Yacimientos de Atapuerca, also a World Heritage Site.
Study programs and specializations: A bachelor's degree in psychology is offered, a master's degree in forensic psychology, and a double major in psychology and criminology. The bachelor's takes 4 years, the master's 1 year, and the double major 4+2 years. In the bachelor's degree, students can choose different specializations, including health psychology, psychology and education, psychology of clinical intervention, criminology, and industrial and organizational psychology.
Please note that all corses take place online.
Study schedule: the academic year begins in late September and ends in mid-June. Within this period, courses take place in three quarters. The first quarter runs from late September to mid-December, the second quarter from mid-January to mid-late March, and the third quarter from late March to mid-June.
Other Information: The university includes a language center that offers online language courses. The courses last two quarters and students receive 6 LP for participation.
