Department of Psychology

In the Master's program "Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy" a total of 600 hours of practical activity (BQT III - Berufsqualifizierende Tätigkeit) are planned, which take place exclusively in the second year of study. 

Part of the BQT III (150h) is carried out in outpatient settings (university outpatient clinics of Bielefeld University), another part (450h) takes place in the inpatient setting in various cooperation clinics. The practical work can only be carried out in these clinics, because there is a binding agreement with them that the content requirements of the BQT III according to the Approbationsordnung für Psychotherapeut:innen will be implemented.  

The distribution of the students to the various internships takes place in each case based on an information event in the winter semester of the first year of study, i.e. with considerable advance notice before the start of the practical work. Participation in this event is mandatory.
