BI.teach - Day for Teaching

A high quality of teaching is a central concern of Bielefeld University. Against this background, the Prorectorate for Studies and Teaching established "BI.teach - Day for Teaching" in 2016. Since then, all staff involved in study and teaching have been invited once a year to spend a day discussing a topic of current teaching interest.

"BI.teach - Day for Teaching" allows to focus on teaching across the faculties discussing both, the possibilities and limitations of the respective topic. The purpose is to promote discourse on teaching and to strengthen communication and networking among the (teaching) staff.

In addition to cross-faculty events, BI.teach also offers opportunities for faculty-internal meetings at which the faculties deal with their specific challenges. The publication of all contributions in the programme creates transparency and enables university-wide synergies in the further development of studies and teaching.
