Our Service

  • Borrowing and Returning

    At the circulation desk with individual service:

    • Borrowing and returning
    • Special loans and returns
    • Provision of reservations

    At the self-service units:

    • Borrowing and returnings

  • Help Desk and Loan Account Information

    • Support in finding the location of specific media and subject areas
    • Help desk for loan account status, orders and renewals
  • Course Reserves and Desk Sets

    • Provision of specialised literature for seminars and lectures in the form of course reserves
    • Setting up a desk set for exam papers and doctoral theses

Learning and Working

  • Reading Room Seats

    • for focussed learning, writing and researching
    • classic with table and chair
    • 10 bookable workstations (in German), partially with monitor; if required, a Mobile Filing Pedestal (in German) can be booked for the duration of use from the staff at the respective Circulation Desk. 
  • Discussion Rooms

  • IT Equipment

    • PC workstations and workstations with monitor (partially barrier-free)
    • WLAN (eduroam / Bi-free)
    • 2 book scanners (U0 and V1)
    • 1 printer (V1)

Focus of the Testothek: Approx. 1500 different psychological test procedures from the fields of Psychology, Clinical Linguistics, Education, Sports Science and Health Sciences, which are not freely accessible due to their extensive material.

  • You can bring drinks in resealable bottles and drink from them - alcohol or drinks in open coffee cups or cans are taboo.
  • Food is generally not allowed in the library - the reading food must be sufficient.
  • You are welcome to take your jackets and rucksacks into the library. Anything you do not need can be stored in our lockers outside the library.

Talking - Yes or No?

Open Workspaces (Reading Room Workstations)

There are two areas in the open workspaces in the UHG-II departmental library:

Silent - Talking is not allowed here, smartphones should be set to "silent" to allow concentrated work.

Quiet - Quiet talking is permitted here with mutual consideration, smartphones should be set to vibrate.

Discussion Rooms
