Get independent feedback on your grant proposals as you are writing them!

So much in your career depends on getting funding. When writing a grant proposal, would you like to hear more thoughts on your draft? Or would you like to read other people’s proposals to get better insights into grant writing? If so, join our network “Peer Review for Postdocs”!

The idea is simple: when you are nearly done writing your proposal, you request a feedback session and meet with up to three other postdocs who have read your draft. In return, you commit to participating in at least three additional sessions, during which the applications of other participants will be discussed.

Network meetings have no fixed dates. Feedback takes place as and when required. When your proposal is nearly ready to be submitted, you contact us, and we will reach out to the network to schedule the session.

You are free to either submit your own proposal first, or to read and give feedback on other postdocs’ proposals before you submit your own, as this can give you valuable experience.

Please note that when submitting your proposal to receive feedback, you commit to participating in at least three additional sessions, during which applications of other network members will be discussed. All material and information provided to you before and during the feedback session is confidential.

Additional perk: Feedback sessions can be attended by one of the University’s experts on grant proposals from FFT (Dezernat Forschungsförderung und Transfer). They will provide feedback based on their extensive experience in consulting researchers.
