Welcome to ViSiB
Every year, numerous students and visiting academics come to Bielefeld from abroad to study, teach, research and immerse themselves in a new culture. We at ViSiB have been a point of contact for newcomers to Bielefeld since 1985 and support them in all matters relating to arriving and settling in at the universities and in the city, as well as in emergency situations.

On 9 June 26, the annual ViSiB Summer Festival took place. As part of the event, the ViSiB Prize was awarded to two students, and international students gave a presentation entitled ‘Strange, Familiar, and Odd: Intercultural Experiences at the Start in a New Country’.
