ViSiB

Emergency aid

As an enrolled and active international student, you may find yourself in a financial emergency. In such cases, the International Office provides ViSiB emergency aid. If you find yourself in such a situation and do not receive any other support or do not receive it in time, you are welcome to contact the International Office by e-mail at welcome@uni-bielefeld.de with your contact details. The International Info Point is also available for counselling:

(Short-term) scholarships

Bielefeld University and Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences (HSBI), in cooperation with ViSiB, award (short-term) scholarships for international students who demonstrate special achievements in their studies and/or social commitment alongside their studies.

The following scholarship programmes were/are awarded to international students:

• ViSiB-Böllhoff scholarship for international students at Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences
• Graduation scholarships, for students in the phase shortly before the BA/MA degree or state examination (in cooperation with the International Offices of the University and University of Applied Sciences)

Application period:

Calls for applications are issued once a year by the universities. All information can be found on the website of the International Office of the University and HSBI.
