Are you ready to boost your chances for a successful proposal submission for a MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship? Join our Masterclass in 2026 and get prepared for your journey to Bielefeld University!
What the Masterclass offers:
- An Information Session introducing the MSCA PF to set the stage for your success.
- An Interactive Workshop that will guide you through the essential aspects of crafting a winning proposal.
- Continuous Assistance with your proposal up to submission by UPB’s Research Service Unit (Forschungsreferat).
- Networking Opportunities with other MSCA PF candidates.
Key facts about MSCA PF:
The MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships are part of the Excellence Pillar within the European Union’s Research and Innvoation Funding Programme Horizon Europe and aim to support the career development of researchers. The fellowship will fund a position at a host institution of your choice in an EU member state or Associated Country for a period of 1-2 years (2-3 years for global fellowships with a return to a host in EU/Ass. Country).
Candidates need to:
- hold a doctoral degree by the time of the call deadline (9th September 2026)
- have no more than 8 years of full-time equivalent research experience
- undertake international mobility. (à This means that candidates cannot have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the Host Institution for more than 12 months in the past 3 years.)
- have/ find a supervisor at Bielefeld University
- participate in the “KoWi MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship Call Opening Online Event” on 4th May 2026
How to apply for the Masterclass:
If you meet the eligibility criteria for the MSCA PF and you are interested to join our Masterclass, simply send an email by the 28th of April at the latest to the contact given below. Please state:
- the name of your confirmed hosting professor at Bielefeld University
- your CV
- a brief description of your research background
- some details on your planning stage of the proposal

Monday, 4th May | 10 am-11:30 am (CET)There will be a Call Opening Online Event held by KoWi and with participation of EU Commission Representatives with general information on the funding scheme.
Kowi Masterclass for MSCA PF Interactive Workshop (Limited to eligible PostDocs, who applied beforehand to the contact person named below)

Mode: Online
Language: EnglishNote: The Masterclass is designed for small groups (5-12 participants) to foster active exchanges and peer learning. While the Interactive Workshop is designed for max. 12 participants and you will need to apply, the Call Opening Event has no such limitation and it is highly recommended for Fellows and for Supervisor to attend.
