Request guest accounts (WLAN and PC login)

Employees and IT supervisors can apply for guest accounts for WLAN and/or PC login via the PRISMA portal. These are intended for short-term guests (e.g. for courses or symposia) and can be valid for a maximum of 3 months.



Log in to with the UniID / BITS username and password.


Go to Order at IT Shop.


In the overview go from IT base accounts.


Click here at Guest accounts WLAN and PC on Order.


Beforehand, go to Assign in Variant.

In this example, guest accounts for the WLAN 'guest' and the PC login (e.g. for use in a PC course room) are to be ordered. To do this, select WLAN guest and computer login.


Other mandatory information must be filled in.

  • Validity until (max. 3 months)
  • Quantity
  • Prefix (e.g. gast- or symposia-)
  • Department (is prefilled)
  • E-mail for receiving the password list

Confirm with OK, then the shopping cart will open.


Check the shopping cart and send it.


Confirm the note with Yes.

The order will now be sent to the responsible EDP supervisor for approval.


After approval, an e-mail with the list of access data will be sent to the specified e-mail address.

Through the order, the guest accounts are always assigned to a responsible person. This person is responsible for the accounts and must be able to name the person using the accounts in the event of any complaints.
When issuing the accounts, always:
- Make login and password accessible to only one person
- Keep a list with assignment login -> person
