Conditions of Use

Rules of conduct and hygiene for participating in university sports​​

  • wearing a mask is no longer obligatory; however, we recommend wearing a mask to continue to protect you and others
  • Only people in good health are allowed to enter the sports facilities.
  • Bring your own large towel (size of a bath towel, approx. 60 x 120 cm) to use as a base.
  • There is plenty of disinfectant available for hands and equipment. Please make use of this!
  • The sports facilities may only be used for sporting activities.

 

 

  • Definition of status: Enrolled as student in current semester
  • Access requirements: Validate student card each semester
  • To activate or update the Student ID card, make a payment/top up your card at the Studierendenwerk (student services), e.g. at the University canteen.
  • Proof of status for University Sports courses: Student card

 

  • Definition of status: Currently employed at the Uni/HSBielefeld.
  • Access requirement as of winter semester 2020/21: Validate Staff ID [CAT1] and book “Sports pass”.
  • The course is booked via the Sports programme and is the perquisite for participation in the sports programme.
  • Participation fee for University Sports (€15.00/semester) is paid by direct debit
  • Proof of status: Staff ID and “sports pass” booking confirmation
  • Have you already paid your fee for the coming semester? You are welcome to send us the receipt by email or come by during office hours.
  • University employees must enter their UNI-ID when booking.
  • HSBI employees must enter their card number [CAT4] when making their booking

 

Definition of status: Enrolled occasional students in the current semester

Admission requirements: Enrolment as an occasional student. (Recommendation: occasional student in sports). Information on occasional student status: https://www.uni-bielefeld.de/studium/studieninteressierte/bewerbung/weitere-bewerber/gasthoerer/

 

Proof of status: Current occasional student card

  • Definition of status: Member status can be obtained after studying at least four semesters at Bielefeld University (no degree required).
  • Admission requirements: Apply for member status at the Studierendensekretariat (student office). Further information is available​ hier. In addition, you must book the “sports pass”.
  • The course is booked through the sports programme and is a prerequisite for participation in the sports programme.
  • Participation fee for university sports (€30/semester) is paid by direct debit
  • Proof of status: enrolment certificate as member and “sports pass” booking confirmation
  • Have you already paid your fee for the coming semester? Please send us the receipt by email or come by during office hours.
  • A canteen card  is required for access to the sports facilities. You can get one from the Studierendenwerk (Building X) on presentation of the enrolment certificate (members) and for a €5 deposit. The card number (on the back) is required for booking.

Consent is subject to the rights set out in Chapter 3 of the EU GDPR. The following rights of access and revocation apply in particular (all other rights are listed in the attached data privacy declaration):

 

  • Information: You have the right to request information from the responsible person at any time about the nature and scope of the stored data, methods of use and persons authorised to view it, the storage period and the right to rectification or erasure (GDPR Art. 15 Para. 1).   • Revocation: This declaration of consent can be withdrawn in writing at any time with future effect ( GDPR Art. 7 Para. 3). If you withdraw your consent, this does not affect the lawfulness of the processing and allocation by authorised persons based on consent before its withdrawal.

 

  • Consequences of revocation: In the event of withdrawal, the personal data will no longer be used for the purposes stated in this declaration of consent.
