The Medical School OWL was founded in 2018. The first 60 students started their medical studies in the winter semester of 2021. The model degree programme offers students sound preparation for the complex requirements of medical practice and enables them to focus on future-oriented topics such as cooperation with other professional groups as well as outpatient and digital medicine. The research profile "Medicine for people with disabilities and chronic illnesses" is highly relevant to society. Three clinical locations with complementary profiles offer excellent conditions for university medical patient care, research and teaching.
