About the programme

The mentoring programme supports international students with the transition to studying and living in Bielefeld. Mentors help with the organisation of studies, bureaucratic matters and settling in to the city. Having a mentor means, for example

knowing someone who can show you around the university and the city
having a contact person for questions about studying and the university
knowing who you can ask where the nearest bank, a good doctor, a nice café or a good gym is
to know where you can go when you feel homesick

Mentees and mentors also benefit from intercultural exchange.

This programme is a great support, so you can manage your studies better here.
