Prize

In addition to scholarships, the following prizes are awarded to international students:

  • DAAD Prize, annually, for high-achieving and committed students, jointly with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). You can find more information about the competition here. Last year's prize winner is presented here.
  • ViSiB Prize, annual, for committed and high-achieving students, in cooperation with the society for the support of foreign students in Bielefeld. Further information on the prize can be found here.
  • Hajime Hoshi Prize for Japanese students studying for a BA to doctorate, every two years, together with the German-Japanese Society Bielefeld. Further information on the prize can be found here.

Proposals for the prizes can be submitted by teaching staff at Bielefeld University again in 2024.
