The existence of the Student Parliament and the AStA is regulated by the Hochschulgesetz NRW. At state level, the Landeshaushaltsordnung NRW and the Haushalts- und Wirtschaftsführungs-Verordnung der Studierendenschaften NRW are also relevant for the student body.
The statutes of the student body and the Geschäftsordnung of the StuPa are fundamental to the work of the AStA and StuPa. The Verkündungsblatt is always authoritative for the student body regulations. As the regulations are only republished in exceptional cases when changes are made, the original text must then be compared with these changes. The election regulations, the travel expenses regulations, the social loan regulations, the mobility contribution regulations, the plenary assembly regulations and the ballot regulations can also be found in the Verkündungsblatt.
The University's constitution, the Senate's rules of procedure and election regulations and the University Council's rules of procedure can also be viewed in the Verkündungsblatt.
