The Career Service supports you in making decisions regarding non-academic career paths—from your studies through your doctorate to your postdoctoral phase.
Whether as a planned transition or as a plan B for an academic career, we assist you in shaping your skills profile, navigating the non-academic job market, and preparing your application.
We provide tailored support according to your individual needs—throughout your doctoral and postdoctoral phase or as a sprint toward completion.
Our ‘Career Basics’ and workshop formats offer an introduction to career guidance topics (EN and DE versions).
In the Individual Career Programme for PhD students, you’ll work within a fixed peer group to gain an overview of your skills and goals, and learn how to present these during the application process (German listening comprehension mandatory).
In methodology workshops, you’ll learn about working practices in the non-academic job market.
Through our networking events – such as Career Guidance Week, Career&Coffee and the <PERSPEKTIVE> (Career Fair) – you’ll gain access to employers and career profiles.
