Semester ticket

This is an information page of the ZAB for people with disabilities, mental or chronic illnesses. General information about the semester ticket can be found on the pages of the transport group.

Bielefeld University will be joining the Deutschlandsemesterticket in the summer semester 2024. The Deutschlandsemesterticket is a group ticket for all students at Bielefeld University and other Bielefeld universities. The area of validity is identical to the Deutschlandticket, which is why we are currently referring to the mobiel pages on the Deutschlandticket.

All students pay the price, which is set at 60% of the cost of the Deutschlandticket, when they enrol or re-enrol with part of their semester fee.

The ticket is created by students via the OWLmobil app and is valid as a digital ticket, so a digital device is required. Further information can be found on the homepage of Bielefeld University's transport group.

Reimbursement of the semester ticket fee

Students who have a severely disabled ID card with the feature G and are therefore allowed to use local public transport free of charge due to a disability (§§145, 146 SGB IX) can have part of the semester fee reimbursed.

The application must be submitted in full to the AStA [Student Union] of Bielefeld University by the end of the application semester.
