For our admission-restricted Master's program, 30 study places are offered annually in each winter semester.
In a first step, the admission requirements are checked: All applicants who fulfill all admission requirements (see below) are admitted to the program. In a second step, a ranking list is created from these eligible applicants, according to which admission to the 30 study places is granted.
In addition to the Bachelor's degree grade, specific competencies already acquired are also taken into account in the access and admission procedure due to the content-related focus of the study program (see below).
Our admission criteria have been adjusted for the 2023 Master's selection process. Please check the updated subject-specific regulations (FsB) of the study program.
* The points of the study program emphases are weighted twice.
You can find all further information on the access and admission procedure in the subject-specific regulations (FsB) of the study program.
If you have any questions regarding credit transfer, please contact the Academic Advisory Service Psychology.
All applicants who meet all requirements in the admission procedure (according to the FsB) and achieve at least 12 points via the above-mentioned requirements will be included in a ranking list according to their score.
A maximum of 21 points can be achieved.
The study places are awarded to the applicants with the highest number of points. In the case of equal scores, applicants with more extensive competencies in the focus areas of the Educational Psychology and Industrial and Organizational Psychology programs will be awarded the study place.
Here you can find more information about the current application period and the necessary documents to be submitted.
The three master's degree programs in psychology offered at Bielefeld University have different entry and admission requirements.
It is therefore not possible to switch between the programs within the course of study.
