Accessibility participation

For wheelchair users, there are seats at the front of the lecture hall, which are accessible at ground level via floor C01. The program is interpreted by a sign language interpreter. If you have any other individual requirements, please contact the event management team.

New Student Welcome Ceremony summer semester 2024

The official welcome for all students who will begin their studies in the Summer semester 2024 will take place on April 8th at 10 am in the lecture hall H1. The General Students' Committee (AStA), the Rector Professor Dr. Angelika Epple and the Mayor of the City of Bielefeld, Pit Clausen, will be on hand to introduce life in the city and at the University. You will also be provided with the most important information about starting your studies at Bielefeld University and have the first opportunity to get to know your fellow students. All first-year students are cordially invited to attend the 60-minute event. The New Student Welcome Ceremony will be moderated by Vivian van Gom and Ingrid Rogalski from the Bielefeld campus radio station HERTZ 87.9.

Registration is not required.

Photographs will be taken during this event for the purpose of event documentation.
