On our Heat Action Day, we showed staff and students at Bielefeld University how they can protect themselves and others from the effects of climate-related heat!
Bielefeld University took part in the nationwide Heat Action Day. On 11 June 2026, the Health Management team, AGUS and the Sustainability Office, amongst others, organised a range of entertaining information and hands-on activities offering valuable tips on preventing and dealing with heat, which took place in front of X building between 9 am and 3 pm.

As part of the nationwide Heat Action Day, various events were planned in Bielefeld. In addition to the wide range of information and hands-on activities on offer here at Bielefeld University, other events took place in Bielefeld on the day. The Klimabahn was out and about from 9 am to 6 pm, providing information on heat protection. There was also an event at the Alter Markt from 2 pm to 4 pm, and the Open Innovation City (Alter Markt 13) hosted an information and discussion session from 4 pm to 6 pm.
