The Bielefeld Young Researchers Fund (BNF) offers annual scholarships for arriving in Bielefeld as well as material resources for starting third-party funded research. Promising graduates who would like to prepare for a doctorate in Bielefeld can apply for half-year scholarships.

The Postdoc Programme (research fellowships for early career researchers with a doctorate), on the other hand, awards fellowships for short research stays of three to six months.
