On June 20, 2026, the Campus Festival Bielefeld will take place for the 10th time on the grounds of Bielefeld University. New this year: The festival will be held on a Saturday, starting at 10 p.m., there will be a public viewing of the World Cup match Germany - Ivory Coast on a large LED screen and followed by a club night at the city's most popular clubs: Café Europa, Forum, Sam's, and Stereo. Access to the clubs is free with a Campus Festival ticket.
The festival grounds will remain largely the same as last year; the Main Stage, the Hertz 87.9 Stage, and the Red Bull Electro Floor will be in the same locations. Discounted tickets for students and staff of Bielefeld University will be available for pre-sale on April 16 and 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the central hall. Tickets are also available at all major ticket outlets, at the WissensWerkStadt, and online.
Car and bicycle parking spaces
On the day of the event, Parking Garage 3 and the underground garage in Building X will be open. Parking Garage 1 will be closed on the day of the event.
Some bicycle racks will be affected by the setup of the stages and infrastructure: primarily on the lawn in front of the new wing and the bicycle racks east of the Audimax. A large number of bike racks will then be located on this area. These bike racks will no longer be available for use, starting Wednesday, June 17.
Bicycles must be removed by Tuesday evening, June 16. Important: They will no longer be accessible after that! Also: Bicycles found on the event area starting Wednesday that pose a safety hazard will be removed at the owner’s expense. The university assumes no liability for these bicycles. If your bicycle has been removed for the reasons stated above, please send an email to info@campusfestival-bielefeld.de to arrange for its return.
We recommend taking the tram or bus to the university on the day of the festival if possible. On the day of the event, trams will run at the following intervals:
• 2:00 PM to approx. 5:30 PM – every 7.5 minutes
• 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM – every 10 minutes
• 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM – every 15 minutes
• 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM – every 10 minutes
• 11:00 PM to 1:00 AM – every 7.5 minutes
Access to the main university building
In the Main University Building (UHG), access to sections A, B, and S will be closed starting at 1:00 p.m. The main entrance and all other entrances and exits of the UHG can be used as usual. Of course, in an emergency, the locked doors are also available as emergency exits.
Security
Following consultation with law enforcement authorities, bags, backpacks, and other luggage larger than A4 size are not permitted at the Campus Festival this year either. Furthermore, as in previous years, the following items are prohibited: glass bottles, beverage cans, plastic beverage bottles, beverages larger than 0.5 liters (non-alcoholic beverages up to 0.5 liters are permitted only in Tetra Pak or soft plastic containers), pyrotechnic items, weapons or weapon-like objects, chairs and items used to elevate one’s standing position, food, professional photo and video equipment, audio recording devices, drones, and laser pointers are not permitted on the festival grounds.
Closed roads
On the eve of the event (Friday, June 19, starting at 6:00 p.m.), Universitätsstraße will be closed until Sunday, June 21, at 11:59 p.m.
Morgenbreede will be closed from Saturday, June 20, at 6:00 a.m., until Sunday, June 21, at 6:00 a.m.
Disturbance through music
The festival will cause disturbances. This includes the restrictions described above. The stage program begins at 3:30 p.m. At that time, at the latest, there will also be disturbances caused by the music. Sound checks will take place beforehand. This will primarily affect the areas of the university that border the event grounds. We appreciate your understanding.
