The campus radio station Hertz 87.9 (in Geman) is a radio station by students for students, but is also aimed at all other interested citizens of the city. The station reports on the latest news from research, teaching and university politics, as well as the cultural programme and current topics in student life.

The campus reporters from Campus TV are out and about with cameras and microphones, both at the university and throughout Campus Bielefeld. The videos are regularly published on Instagram (in German) and YouTube (in German).

The BITS Making Media Space is part of Bielefeld University's Digital Learning Lab (in German). Here, members of the university have the opportunity to work creatively and collaboratively on innovative media and making projects. The Making Media Spaces offer rooms and studios equipped with professional equipment for the creation of media products. From podcast recordings and video productions to 3D printing and virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), there are no limits.

The "UniKino" (in German) series is recommended for cinema enthusiasts: During the lecture period, cinema highlights from the recent past are usually shown on Mondays at 7.30 pm in Lecture Hall 13 (UHG-H13) at a wallet-friendly price of 2 euros (+ 1 euro semester fee), with admission from 7 pm.
