ViSiB Award
ViSiB has the task of supporting international students at Bielefeld University and Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences during their stay and thus contributing to a positive study experience in Bielefeld.
In recognition of academic achievements and social/intercultural engagement of international students at Bielefeld University, the association awards an annual prize of 750 euros.
The award is given on the recommendation of third parties (teachers, lecturers, etc.). Candidates should be currently enrolled at Bielefeld University with the aim of completing their studies according to the above criteria.
The ViSiB Award is presented at a ceremony during the association's summer festival.
The call for applications takes place once a year. The application deadlines are announced by the two universities.
ViSiB award winners
Congratulations to this year's award winners Mohamed Tarek Dawalibi (Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences) and Andrés Sastoque González (Bielefeld University)! The two students were honoured at the summer festival on 11 June 2025 for their exceptional academic performance and commitment to social causes. The award ceremony was hosted by Michael W. Böllhoff, Chairman of our association's Board.
