Fachschaft Anglistik

The Fachschaft is your crowd to turn to when you have questions about your studies, want to get involved in university politics, or want to hang out. We, the current ensemble of the Fachschaft, are a diverse group of students in their B.A., M.A., or M.Ed., with Anglistik as a major or minor and second subjects in various fields, unified by our love for the English language and language as well as our dedication to helping fellow students. 

We co-/organise events like the How to English Week, throw Christmas parties and discuss matters related to our department. We are also your student representation in the faculty, e.g., we are part of committees that take part in financial and organisational decisions, and we mediate between students and lecturers if any problems arise.

You can contact us for any questions regarding your studies! We are happy to give advice or point you to the right person. However, we are not responsible for the allocation of seminar seats or other organisational matters such as Bafög forms. Please note that you do not need to state your matriculation number when contacting us!

The Fachschaft is always looking for new members! In case you´re interested in getting involved in the university´s social and political life, gaining insights into institutional structures and bringing in your ideas to further improve the study environment for British and American Studies students, don´t hesitate to reach out and join forces!
