My name is Matthias Schmidt-Rubart. I studied physics at Bielefeld University and did my doctorate in the field of cosmology. I investigated how fast our galaxy moves through the universe using data from radio telescopes.
During my studies, I was involved in the physics departmental student representative committee, which looks after first-semester students, among other things. I was also able to gain interesting experience in Faculty and university politics during this time.
Since the beginning of 2020, I have been working at the Faculty of Physics as Quality Management Coordinator. In this context, I am available for all questions and suggestions regarding programme development. You are also very welcome to come to me if you have any questions about the content of your degree programme, especially in the introductory phase. My office door is almost always open, so feel free to drop by spontaneously. If you would like to make an appointment, just send me an email.
