NEOTeAch - Implementing digital teaching projects internationally

Would you like to give students the opportunity to prepare subject-specific content as digital products and collaborate with other teaching staff and students from the European University Alliance NEOLAiA?

With the NEOTeAch programme, you can integrate international and digital elements into your teaching and support students in developing multilingual teaching materials.

Possible digital products within the framework of NEOTeAch could be, for example

• Podcasts in teaching

• (Explanatory) videos

• Digital publications, e.g. interactive e-books or digital maps

• collaborative websites

What is important in a NEOTeAch project? The products:

• are designed to be bilingual or multilingual,
• are developed by groups of students as part of a course,
• have subject-related and educational content (no advertising material),
• include multimedia elements, e.g. audio, video, infographics or web formats,
• are prepared in such a way that they are understandable for a wider audience.

The project should be realised in cooperation with at least one other university in the NEOLAiA alliance. If you do not yet have a partner university in mind, we will be happy to support you in networking. Possible collaboration partners can also be found on the NEOLAiA networking platform NEOLink.

Application and support

A NEOTeAch project can be flexibly integrated into existing courses and can be implemented within one or two semesters. Bielefeld University’s BITS SPACE offers a wide range of support for the practical implementation of a digital teaching project. At the Centre for Teaching and Learning, we are happy to advise you on developing your idea, integrating it into your teaching, and finding international partners.
