Would you like to integrate new international perspectives into your teaching - perhaps without students having to leave Bielefeld?
Through our NEOLAiA university alliance, you can collaborate with international partners and open your courses to a broader student community through virtual or blended formats.

Why consider international teaching using virtual and blended formats?

  • Expand your academic network and strengthen your teaching profile
  • Develop joint assignments and collaborative projects with partner universities
  • Share your expertise and enhance the visibility of your teaching within a European network
  • Enable students to learn in an international environment and foster peer exchange across borders in an easily accessible way
  • Support students in developing intercultural and digital competences
  • Experiment with innovative teaching formats

Possible formats

1.    COIL projects (Collaborative Online International Learning)
Virtual collaboration with a partner university integrated into your existing course –a practical and accessible way to begin international collaboration.
2.    Virtual Courses
taught in asynchronous & synchronous modes in international student groups (prior administrative consultation required)
3.    Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP)
short-term physical mobility (5 to 30 day, typically 5 days) with compulsory virtual component (prior administrative consultation required)

Programme Structure:

Whether you are curious about COIL projects, virtual courses, or blended intensive programmes, there are flexible ways to internationalise your teaching - with our didactic and organisational support throughout the process.
