20 June 2024

The Bielefeld open-air festival is considered the largest campus party in Germany and is aimed at all fans of strong live music with its varied program. This year, you can dance and party on June 20 at the established location on the Bielefeld campus between the main university building and the X-building. The line-up is headed by German rap star Nina Chuba. Also confirmed is the electro-pop band Grossstadtgeflüster. Two exciting pop newcomers, Anais and Paula Carolina, will be on stage.

The set-up for the Campus Festival Bielefeld will start on Monday, 17.06.2024. Even though the festival will be significantly smaller this year, disruptions due to delivery traffic via the boulevard and the set-up on the lawns are unavoidable.

Further information on the program and ticket sales can be found at www.campusfestival-bielefeld.de

Parking for cars and bicycles

The underground parking garage of building X and parking garage 3 will be closed on Wednesday, June 19 from 10:00 pm. These parking spaces will be available again from Friday, June 21 at 6:00 am. Parts of the parking lot at Cebitec (Building G) will already be closed on Friday, June 14.

On June 20, the event site will be cordoned off by an opaque fence from 1:30 pm onward. A large number of the bicycle racks will then be located on the grounds. This affects the bike racks in front of building X, between teeth D and E, and teeth E and F. The bikes must be removed by Wednesday evening, June 19. Important: They are no longer accessible after that! And: bicycles that are on the event grounds on Thursday and pose a safety problem there will be removed for a fee. The University assumes no liability for these bicycles. If your bike has been removed for the above reasons, please email info@campusfestival-bielefeld.de for clarification on bike return.

It is recommended that you come to the University by streetcar or bus on the day of the festival, if possible. The streetcars will run at the following intervals on the day of the event:

→ Every 5 minutes between 3 p.m. and 6:30 pm and from 10:30 pm to 1 am

→ Every 10 minutes between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm

→ Every 15 minutes between 7:30 pm and 10:00 pm

Access to the main university building and Building X

Starting at 2:00 pm, all entrances to Building X will be closed. The subject library will close at 3:00 pm on the day of the festival, which means that those who are already in the library at 2:00 pm can work there until 3:00 pm. Exit starting from 2:00 pm is only possible via the Magistrale to the Soziales Feld. The interim library building closes at 2:00 pm.

In the main university building (UHG), the entrances in teeth D, E and F and between these teeth will be closed from 2:00 pm. The main entrance and all other entrances and exits of the UHG can be used regularly. Of course, the closed doors will also be available as emergency exits in case of emergency.

Security

Same as last year, after consultation with the regulatory authorities, bags, backpacks and other luggage larger than DIN A4 are not allowed at the Campus Festival. Furthermore, as in previous years, no glass bottles, beverage cans, plastic beverage bottles, Tetra Paks over 0.5l, pyrotechnic items, weapons or weapon-like items, chairs and items used to elevate the stand position, food, professional photo and video equipment, sound recorders, drones and laser pointers are allowed on the festival grounds.

Closed roads

On the eve of the event (Wednesday, June 19, from 10 pm), the street "Vermittlung" (between building X and the parking garage 3) will be closed. Universitätsstraße will thus become a dead-end street. The bus stop in Universitätsstraße will be moved to Erfahrung at the level of the light rail stop for the entire day on Thursday, June 20.

Disruption due to music

The festival will cause disruption. On the one hand, this concerns the restrictions described above. From 3:30 pm the stage program begins. At the latest then there will also be disturbances due to the music. Sound checks will already take place beforehand. This will primarily affect the areas of the university that border the event site. We hope for your understanding.
