Visiting Scholars - Service After Registration
All visiting scholars - whether national or international, whether for research, project work or teaching - receive these academic services:
- UniCard as an ID card for visiting scholars
- Automated IT approvals
- Use of library services
- University canteen at the employee rate
- Participation in University Sports Service Bielefeld

The application process must be initiated by the respective department and requires the visiting scholar to enter their information.

You will receive information about your access to the IT systems Bielefeld University by email 2 weeks before your stay.

Visiting professorships (Gastprofessuren)
Visiting professors at Bielefeld University are renowned Researchers who are invited to teach and conduct research at our University on a temporary basis. As proven experts in their fields, they enrich our courses and offer our students unique learning opportunities. Visiting professors give lectures and are involved in their own research projects.
