BITS offers students and employees

  • personal or telephone user support,
  • Support in the selection of hardware and software,
  • advice on the use of systems for faculty- or institution-specific application scenarios.

The range of IT services is constantly being expanded and the scope of existing services is continuously adapted to the requirements of our customer groups.

Scope of services

User support

For user questions regarding the IT services offered by BITS for students and employees and the client software products recommended by BITS for the use of the BITS infrastructure, BITS offers personal consultation as well as e-mail, chat and telephone support. There are separate support units for different areas of responsibility.

Selection of hardware and software

BITS supports the faculties and departments in the selection and design of the hardware and software components they use, as well as any necessary connection to the BITS IT infrastructure.


Use of BITS IT services

BITS advises faculties and departments on the use of existing BITS IT services to support their business processes. For new IT services to be operated centrally, BITS supports and advises the respective faculty or department in creating the functional and technical requirements.
