    Hosting or provision and operation of an application by BITS.

  • Backup

    Centralized data backup solution for backing up data.

  • Closed network

    Department of a group VLAN with IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.

    Centralized storage system for faculty and departments.

  • Internet Domains

    Registration of top-level Internet domains and their department and operation on the DNS servers.

    Campus license from Herdt Verlag (All You Can Read) for comprehensive IT manuals as PDF eBooks.

    Courses on common office applications, SPSS statistical software, and HTML.

  • Learning space (Lernraum)

    Use in courses for document storage, forum or document submission.

  • Media Rooms & Studios

    Professionally equipped media rooms & studios for media productions and innovative projects.

  • Media Services

    Planning, equipping and maintenance of the Lecture Halls and seminar rooms with media technology equipment.

  • MEDiS - Notebook Support

    Support for data loss, error messages, etc. on mobile devices.

    University Moodle platform for courses.

Most of the services listed here can only be used by staff, people who are external/guests at a host Faculty/department of Bielefeld University. The persons to contact there must usually contact their own EDP supervisor for the creation of an account.
