Internet Domains

Faculties and departments of the University are offered by BITS the possibility of registering top-level Internet domains (de, eu, info, biz, name, com, net, museum, coop, org, cat, mobi, ...) as well as their setup and operation on the DNS servers of BITS.

Scope of services

Registration of a domain via the German Research Network (DFN) and operation of the DNS.

Faculties and departments of Bielefeld University

Request

An application can be made via BITS (see Support). Interested applicants should first contact the IT supervision of the faculty/department.

The application template must be completed and sent to servicedesk@uni-bielefeld.de.

The provision is subject to the availability of the registrars.

Costs

One-time for the registration EURO 36,00/year plus
VAT.
Ongoing annual maintenance EURO 36,00/year plus
