The security of business data must also be ensured when working at home. There are binding regulations for this at Bielefeld University. Windows computers used in the home office are supplied with updates - depending on the configuration by the respective IT support - as follows:

The fastest and easiest way to access email accounts is via the webmailer.
Access to the personal network drives and group drives from external. A VPN connection is required.

With DFNConf, employees can use video/audio conferences via the browser and thus create virtual meeting rooms themselves.
Due to its simple operation, Zoom is well suited for webinars or group work in studies and teaching. Employees and students can register free of charge via web authentication at https://uni-bielefeld.zoom.us. Bielefeld University has held a campus licence for this since mid-April 2020.
