Identities, account information and authorizations of the IDM are compared with the data of the connected applications.
The following directory services/interfaces are currently available for connecting applications to the central IDM:

• MS Active Directory (AD)
• Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP based on Oracle software).
• Direct exchange with data tables within the database of the connected application
• Sending/receiving information to web services of the connected application.

Deployment times

The provisioning time varies depending on the application to be connected and must be clarified in each individual case.

Request

An application can be made via BITS (see Support).

For each new connection of an application to the IDM, an individual integration concept is required, which must be worked out with the commissioning faculty or department. Furthermore, a case-by-case review is required with regard to the required maintenance processes and the technical effort.

Costs

Free service for all faculty and departments as part of basic services.

Costs may apply for customization.
